Sally Rush on her German riding pony "Grace" at the region #2 Championships, Lamplight , IL
During the weekend of October 2-4, I packed up my 5 year old German Riding Pony “Grace” and went with friends to the United States Dressage Federation Region 2 Championships..
Region 2 covers 8 mid-western states, and there were nearly 500 horses competing in 45 degrees and 4” of rain. It was a big sloppy mess, but we had a great time. At my level there was 51 horses qualified, and 37 competing, and we placed 15th. She can be mischievous and she was very, very good in really bad conditions. Even though we were not in the ribbons, I was really pleased. My friends say I was robbed and should have been in the victory gallop- its always good to have the positive support of friends!
